November 2025 Astrology Forecast: Bone Deep
Share
This month, I'm continuing the approach that (I hope) makes the forecast more practical and actionable. Rather than trying to track every transit, you're invited to work more deeply with what's actually alive in your life right now. As you read through the themes below, notice which questions make you think 'that's what I'm dealing with.' Those are your invitations to go deeper. It's kind of a "choose your own adventure" where you trust your intuition to pull out the parts that make sense for you to weave your magic with this month.
November presents a month of profound emotional archaeology. We're being drawn down into the Scorpio depths to excavate and release (if appropriate) what's been buried, to honour what remains when everything else has fallen away. This month we work on completing the emotional and psychological integration that October's dissolution began.
The defining pattern is a Grand Water Trine that repeats three times. First the Sun, then Mercury retrograde, then Venus - each moving through Scorpio and connecting with Jupiter and Saturn retrograde in Pisces. These aren't separate events but a continuous cycle: dive deeper, surface with what you've found, dive again. (More on this later).
Most planets are retrograde this month (Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto). Only the Sun, Moon, Venus, and Mars remain in direct motion, and even Mars' movement is complex - beginning in intense Scorpio before shifting into Sagittarius and immediately opposing Uranus. So, forward momentum is the exception and so November is a month to turn inward and backward, to revisit, to look at what is undone.
Scorpio season dominates November. The Sun, Mercury retrograde, and Venus all move through this sign of emotional depth and psychological excavation. The Full Moon in Taurus on 5th November, ruled by Mars, brings embodied wisdom to balance Scorpio's intensity. The New Moon at 28° Scorpio on 20th November, conjunct both Sun and Mercury retrograde, offers a potent reset, a chance to plant seeds in the rich fertile soil of all you've processed.
This is completion work at the bone level. We're getting down to the skeletal structure of our lives, our patterns, our ancestral inheritances. What remains when everything else has been stripped away? What foundations do you want to carry forward into 2026?
November is a traditional time of ancestor reverence across many cultures. The veil remains thin, inviting connection with lineage - both wounds needing healing and treasure waiting to be excavated.

THE MAJOR THEMES FOR NOVEMBER
As you read through these three themes, pay attention to which resonance questions spark recognition in your body and experience. You don't need to work with all three - in fact, it's often more powerful to go deep with one or two rather than skimming the surface of everything. Trust what calls to you. The themes that make you think "yes, that's exactly what I'm navigating" are your invitations for deeper work this month.
Theme 1: The Repeating Grand Water Trine - Waves of Emotional Integration
Three times this month, planets in Scorpio form a Grand Water Trine with retrograde Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces (retrograde until the 28th). This isn't a single event but a rhythmic pulse of emotional processing. The Sun activates it on the 17th, Mercury retrograde on the 22nd, and Venus on the 26th.
Grand Water Trines create a flowing circuit between the personal waters of Cancer (family, roots, emotional foundations), the collective waters of Pisces (spiritual connection, ancestral patterns, collective unconscious), and the transformative waters of Scorpio (deep psychological work, shared resources, intimate bonds). Each activation offers another opportunity to integrate what's been stirring in the depths. Think of it like waves on a beach - each one reaches a little further up the shore, smoothing and reshaping what it touches.
Resonance Question: Are you feeling waves of emotion that seem to come in cycles, each time taking you deeper? Is there healing work around family patterns, spiritual beliefs, or emotional foundations that keeps resurfacing, asking for another layer of attention? Do you sense that something profound is trying to integrate, but it needs multiple passes to fully land?
Journal Prompts:
- What emotional pattern keeps returning for review this month? What new understanding emerges each time?
- How are your family stories and ancestral patterns showing up in your current emotional landscape?
- What spiritual or emotional truth is trying to find its way from your unconscious depths into conscious understanding?
- Where do Cancer (home/family), Pisces (spirituality/collective), and Scorpio (intimacy/transformation) themes intersect in your life right now?
Micro-Practice: Each time you notice an emotional wave rising (especially around the 17th, 22nd, and 26th), pause and name it: "This is the wave returning." Then ask: "What wants to be integrated this time?" Let each wave take you deeper rather than resisting the repetition.
Ritual: Find three small objects that can hold water - shells, small bowls or cups - even bottle caps will work. These three objects each represent an area of your life that is being activated this month. One each for:
1. emotional inheritance (what flows to you from family and ancestors)
2. what you're transforming within yourself
3. what healing and/ or devotion you're offering back through your spiritual practice and/ or to the collective.
Before filling them, hold each one and speak aloud what it will represent, for example : "This holds my emotional inheritance from family and ancestors," "This holds what I'm transforming within myself," "This holds the healing I'm offering back to the collective/future generations." (Use the words that feel right to you).
Then fill each vessel with water and place them in a triangle formation somewhere they won't be disturbed.
Each day, or when you feel the need, check in with your vessels. Notice the water levels, how you feel as you look or or handle them. You may notice which evaporates fastest, which stays full. Top them up as needed through the month, noticing what thoughts arise as you tend each one. At month's end, pour all three waters together onto the earth or a houseplant (or down the drain is also fine), speaking aloud anything that has arisen for you that month, and anything you wish to let go with the water.

Theme 2: The Retrograde Tide - When Moving Backward IS Moving Forward
This month, forward motion is the exception rather than the rule. Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn (until the 28th), Uranus and Neptune are all retrograde, leaving only the Venus, Mars and Pluto in direct motion (and Sun and Moon, but they never retrograde). This is an invitation to honour the work of revision, completion, and integration.
When most planets are retrograde, we're being asked to stop pushing forward regardless (soldiering on) and instead tend to what's unfinished or needs to be released. This is particularly potent as we near the end of 2025, preparing for the new territories that 2026 will bring. What loops need closing? What conversations need completing? What patterns need their final untangling?
Resonance Question: Does forward momentum feel impossible right now, like you're swimming against a current? Are old patterns, relationships, or unfinished business from earlier in the year (or further back) demanding completion before you can move forward? Do you feel the weight of incompletions - things unsaid, undone, or unprocessed - that need tending before 2026 begins?
Journal Prompts:
- What from 2025 (or earlier) keeps calling for completion or closure?
- Where have you been trying to push forward when you actually need to go back and tend to something?
- What pattern or cycle that began earlier this year is ready for its final chapter?
- If you could only complete three things before year's end, what would they be?
Micro-Practice: Make a "Retrograde List" of incompletions - conversations, projects, decisions you've been avoiding. Choose one small thing each week to complete. Focus on closing loops rather than starting new ones.
Ritual: Take a piece of string or yarn about arm's length (colour doesn't matter - use what you have). Think of five incompletions that are weighing on you: unfinished conversations, incomplete projects, unresolved feelings. For each one, tie a loose loop/ knot in the string while speaking aloud what it represents: "This knot is my unfinished conversation with [name]," "This knot represents the project I abandoned in spring," etc.
Hang or place the knotted string somewhere you'll see it daily. Each time you complete one of these incompletions (or consciously choose to release it without action), pull the know tight. As you tighten it, say aloud: "This loop is closed" or "I release this as complete."
By month's end, any remaining loops can be buried in earth letting the earth complete the composting for you (only do this if your string is biodegradable) or burned safely. The goal isn't necessarily to close every knot, but to consciously engage with what needs closing.
Theme 3: Scorpio Season Intensity - The Depth Work
Scorpio dominates November with the Sun, Mercury retrograde, and Venus all spending significant time in this sign of emotional excavation and transformation. Scorpio demands we go into the caves of our psyche, the hidden places where we store our deepest truths and fears. (This theme is a continuation of the Deep Truth Excavation theme from October).
The Full Moon in Taurus on the 5th, ruled by Venus, offers grounding and embodiment to balance Scorpio's psychological intensity. Mars begins the month in Scorpio before shifting into Sagittarius on the 4th, immediately opposing Uranus - a sudden break for freedom after diving deep! The New Moon at 28° Scorpio on the 20th, with Mercury retrograde conjunct, marks another deep point of excavation before we begin to surface as the planets move off into Sagittarius.
This is the month for the conversations you've been avoiding, the truths you haven't wanted to acknowledge, the shadows you've been skirting around. Scorpio doesn't let us stay small and comfortable. It asks us to be radically honest about power, intimacy, shared resources, and what we've been hiding from ourselves.
Resonance Question: Is there something asking to be excavated from the depths - a truth you've been avoiding, a transformation you've been resisting, or an emotional intensity you've been trying to bypass? Are issues of power, intimacy, trust, or shared resources coming to a head? Do you feel that magnetic pull toward the very thing you've been trying to avoid looking at?
Journal Prompts:
- What truth have you been dancing around that needs to be spoken (even if only to yourself)?
- Where in your life are power dynamics asking to be acknowledged and transformed?
- What are you ready to excavate and examine that you've kept buried until now?
- How is your relationship with intensity, depth, and emotional honesty evolving?
Micro-Practice: When you catch yourself avoiding something emotionally intense, pause and say: "Scorpio sees this." Then take just one small step toward it rather than away - send the text, open the bill, look at the photo, speak the first word. Small moves toward intensity rather than away from it.
Ritual: Write a secret on a piece of paper - something you've never told anyone, maybe even something you've barely admitted to yourself. Fold it small. On the New Moon (20th), bury it in soil (houseplant or garden) with a seed or bulb. You're not burying it to hide it but to transform it - letting it become fertiliser for new growth. The secret stays secret, but its energy transforms from something hidden into something generative. Water it through the rest of the month, knowing that your shadow work is literally feeding new life.
